"LTCC" is short for of Low Temperature Co-Fired Ceramics.
Normally, ceramic for electronic applications is fired with over 1500 deg. C. and the metals used for the circuit electrodes are accordingly heat-resistant materials like tungsten or molybdenum.
However, these metals have the disadvantage of delaying the signal communication due to a high conductor resistance. Therefore ceramic circuit boards using metals with low conductive resistance and high frequency of electric signals have been developed.
